Asian Inspiration

When I read about the Culinary Creations: Still Life Photography Contest I just knew I wanted to enter since I love cooking and photography! I strongly believe that food presentation is as important as quality and taste. With that being said they asked us to be creative so that is what i tried to do with staging the photo.

As for the dish as the title states it is a Chinese inspired. It's based off a menu item sold at the China pavilion in Disney's Epcot. They simple call it "The beef Bowl" so I have come to call it the same thing. After obtaining the recipe from Disney (trade secret) I set out to master this.

Very simple
Sirloin steak, (NOT what Disney uses)
homemade soy sauce
Spinach, onions and garnished with sesame seeds
over white steamed rice
